What this is
Prompter is a teleprompter you use in your phone's browser. You paste a script, the words scroll while you record, and your takes are saved in your account.
Your account
You need an account to use it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18, or old enough where you live to agree to terms on your own.
Your videos and scripts stay yours
Everything you record and write stays yours. We store it so you can get it back from any device. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything.
What you may not do
Do not upload anything illegal, anything that isn't yours to upload, or anything that breaks someone else's rights. Do not try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service. We can suspend an account that does.
Plans and payment
The free plan gives you 5 takes a calendar month (counted in UTC) and 2 GB of storage, and deletes takes you have not starred after 60 days. Paid plans give you more storage. Payment is handled by our checkout provider. You can cancel at any time. When your subscription ends, your account goes back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted for 30 days after that. Then the free limits apply to what you have stored: takes you have not starred and that are older than 60 days are deleted, and if you hold more than 2 GB, the oldest takes are deleted (starred ones included) until you are under 2 GB. Download anything you want to keep during those 30 days.
Deleting things
You can delete any take from inside the app. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email us and we will remove it.
No promises about uptime
We work hard to keep this running, but it is provided "as is". Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — the app has a "Save to phone" button for exactly that.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost income, or other indirect losses. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app or by email.
