The short version
- Your videos are stored in your account. Only you can see them.
- We never sell your data, and we never hand it to advertisers.
- Ask us to delete your account and we delete it, videos and all.
What we hold
- Your email. It comes from the sign-in service (Clerk) and is how we know which plan you are on.
- Your scripts. The words you paste, so they show up on your other devices.
- Your takes. The videos you record and choose to keep. They are stored in Cloudflare R2 under a folder that belongs to your account.
- Basic records. Size and length of each take, when it was made, your plan, and error logs when an upload fails. Logs hold no video and no script text.
- IP addresses. Kept for up to 24 hours to limit how fast one address can call the service, and on the record of each billing message our checkout provider sends us.
Where it lives
Videos are in Cloudflare R2. Account records are in a Postgres database at Render. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, so Clerk holds your email and password — we never see your password. Payments run through our checkout provider; we never see your card number.
Who can see your videos
Only you. Playback and download links expire after 15 minutes, and anyone you pass one to within that time can use it. Staff do not watch your videos. We would only ever hand anything over if the law required it.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not use your videos or scripts to train AI models. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
- Takes stay until you delete them — except on the free plan, where takes you have not starred are deleted after 60 days, and where takes over the 2 GB limit are deleted oldest first. After a paid plan ends there is a 30-day grace before either applies.
- Delete your account and everything goes with it: your takes, scripts, account record and plan. The billing record of each purchase is kept for accounting with your email and contact id removed.
- Error logs are kept for a short period and then rotate away.
Deleting things
You can delete any take in the app. To delete your whole account, email us and we will remove your account record, your scripts, and every video we hold for you.
Your browser
The app keeps your scripts and any take you have not uploaded yet in your own browser's storage, so it works when the signal drops. Signing out clears that.
